Wheel Speed Sensors

FuelTech Hall Effect RPM/Speed Sensor Summary

⚠️ Work in Progress

I have not added the wheel speed sensors to the build nor created the gap rings yet. I plan on implementing this in the future, so check back for more updates at a later time. (The custom harnesses are built to handle this expansion, so when they are implemented, they should be plug-and-play.)

This page provides detailed information about the FuelTech Hall Effect RPM/Speed Sensor used in the Honda RC51 custom ECU build, including its specifications, connector details, wiring, and visual references.

FuelTech Hall Effect RPM/Speed Sensor Overview

To enable active traction control, I incorporated wheel speed sensors on both the front and rear wheels. Custom gap ring discs were designed and mounted to each wheel to facilitate accurate speed detection. For the sensor, I selected the FuelTech Hall Effect RPM/Speed Sensor (Part #5005100083). These sensors are entirely optional and not required for standard ECU operation.
